Meet Laurie
As a Spiritual Director, I derive great contentment walking alongside of folks in the ups and downs of their daily lives. We explore the landmarks to your journey through the lens of spirituality. Formative questions to our conversation would be: Where have you seen God along the way? How has your experience of the Divine guided or challenged you? Are you in a space marked by healthy growth or a wilderness where your usual GPS fails you? Are you experiencing any spiritual dilemmas or places of spiritual hurt that would be helpful to explore? What or who is keeping you anchored in your present life circumstances? What brings you joy?
My career began with my ordination into Christian ministry. I served as a pastor in three congregations over the course of three decades in three different cities. I have had the privilege of serving folks who claim a wide divergence of belief systems. I ministered as a chaplain in a Christian psychiatric hospital and currently work as a hospice grief counselor. Having lived on four continents and in seven states, I was afforded an expansive understanding of the commonalities and differences to the human experience. In every place and in each sacred conversation, I encounter a spiritual hunger. I have met with a spiritual director for nearly twenty years, valuing each meeting as an essential component of my personal practice of holy accountability.
